Wake up, freshen up and enjoy a hot drink before setting out for an early game drive. Morning is an excellent time to search for predators while they are still active.
6:30 AM – 9:30 AM | Morning game drive
Explore different areas of the reserve with your driver-guide. Look out for lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife. Enjoy the peaceful sunrise over the Mara plains and capture memorable photographs.
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM | Bush breakfast or breakfast at camp
Enjoy breakfast at a designated picnic site or return to camp, depending on your package and reserve arrangements.
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM | Continue wildlife exploration
Discover more of the Mara ecosystem, including open grasslands, riverine habitats and areas where animals gather. Your guide will explain the relationships between predators, prey and the surrounding environment.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM | Lunch break
Enjoy a picnic lunch at an approved location or return to your lodge or camp for a freshly prepared meal.
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM | Relaxation at the lodge
Take time to rest, enjoy the camp facilities or review your wildlife photographs.
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Afternoon game drive
Continue your safari in search of more wildlife. Depending on the season, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras. The Great Migration is a spectacular seasonal event, but sightings and river crossings are never guaranteed.

Enjoy dinner and share the day's safari highlights with fellow travellers. A campfire experience may be available, depending on the accommodation.

6:00 AM – 8:30 AM | Optional early morning game drive
For travellers who want one last wildlife experience, enjoy an early morning drive, subject to your accommodation location, reserve entry arrangements and departure schedule.
Look out for grazing herbivores, birds and predators that may still be active in the cooler morning hours.
8:30 AM – 9:30 AM | Breakfast at camp
Return to camp for breakfast and prepare for check-out.
9:30 AM – 10:30 AM | Check-out and departure preparations
- Pack your luggage and check your belongings.
- Settle any personal bills.
- Take final photographs of the camp surroundings.
- Begin your return journey according to the reserve's exit rules and your accommodation location.
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Drive towards Narok
Travel through the scenic countryside, with comfort stops as necessary.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Lunch break
Enjoy lunch at a suitable restaurant or stop along the route. Lunch arrangements depend on your package.
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Continue to Nairobi
Proceed to Nairobi, allowing additional time for traffic, road conditions and stops.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at your agreed drop-off point, marking the end of your memorable Maasai Mara safari.
